The Like Minds Designs Process

Working with a graphic design company for the first time can be confusing if you don't understand what you are paying for. Our clients know that they are purchasing unique products and services specifically tailored for their needs and budgets. At Like Minds Designs, we carefully detail what each design proposal includes so that there aren't any hidden surprise fees. Our custom quotes will summarize services for the following different phases of a design project.

Project Phases

Initial Design - Draft 1

We begin every project with an in-depth consultation to get a good understanding of what our client expects and listen to ideas they may already have. Our years of experience and intuition helps us interpret these ideas in a visual form. For clients who aren't yet sure what they want, we offer suggestions based on what they wish to accomplish and communicate. The project won't start until our client is happy with the project direction and design plan.

Your job proposal will detail a specific number of versions you can expect, and a set deadline you can expect to see those versions by. Once you have received and reviewed these options, the design proceeds to the Revisions Phase.

Revisions - Drafts 2 and Up

After reviewing the Initial Design options, our clients will often have a favorite, but may still request alterations. This phase is a back-and-forth series of changes that the client will request and LIke Minds will provide. Each job proposal will detail the specific number of draft rounds included within the flat rate. Revisions may include changing colors, text, fonts or pictures from the original design. We completely customize the design until our client is completely satisfied with it.

Final Design

Once a project has gone through all the necessary revision drafts, and is approved by the client, it will enter the Final Design Phase. At this stage, further enhancements are added. Your proposal will detail the types of final design changes that apply to your project. Examples of these include adding color options to an approved logo, or building other pages of a website once the home page has been completed. The project will continue until our client provides final approval to move on to production.

Production & Publishing

This last phase will vary depending on the nature of a project. During this stage, print materials are sent to a printer for printing and shipping. Websites are published and submitted to search engines. Logos are provided on a disk for future use.
